Education at Meridian

The Graduate School of Education at Meridian University developed as a response to unprecedented complexity challenges that arise from a pervasive crisis of learning that is affecting communities and societies around the world. To be able to perceive the deeply interconnected nature of systems as a whole, it is imperative to develop our innate capabilities to see wholeness over fragmentation, and to foster complexity capabilities necessary for transforming whole persons and whole systems. This approach to transformative learning focuses on coaching, facilitation, and leadership as essential paths that enable the development of these capabilities. Our willingness to learn and grow, as individuals and as a society, is at the heart of this process, driving the transformation of habits, mindsets, and culture. This pioneering program seeks to transform the domain of education by adopting an integral, holistic, and transformative approach to our learning capabilities, thereby actualizing Meridian’s commitment to offer an education that emphasizes professional excellence in coaching, facilitation, and leadership.

This program recognizes the domain of education as a powerful catalyst for social and cultural transformation and aims to enable individuals from diverse backgrounds to become agents of positive change in the world. By combining interdisciplinary concentrations, experiential learning activities, the integration of transformative learning with informational learning, and a focus on the professional paths of coaching, facilitation, and leadership, the program nurtures students' leadership capabilities to inspire cultural and societal evolution. The promotion of self-reflection and self-awareness, along with a concerted emphasis on personal growth and societal impact, ensures that students are well-prepared for careers in coaching, facilitation, and leadership roles. By embracing the powers of transformative learning, the Graduate School of Education aims to nurture compassionate, critically thinking individuals who feel inspired to create a world aligned with values of justice, sustainability, and harmony. This program seeks to help realize the essential imperative of the domain of education to prepare us for the world to come, and to empower you to start your journey to become a professional in coaching, facilitation, or leadership roles, shaping the future with wisdom and integrity.
