Public Programs Overview
Meridian's Public Programs spring from a straightforward mission:
To bring multiperspective, transformative education to a diverse cross-section of domains and communities.
We undertake this mission through online courses, live conversation series, and in-person events in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as our recent launch in Berlin.
Our ongoing live, online conversation series include:
- Integral Voices
- Soul at Work
- Mystery of Embodiment
- Spirit of Enterprise
- Transformative Learning Perspectives
These series are all offered regularly - free-of-charge - via live, interactive video as well as session recordings.
Meridian's first public online course, Thriving on Complexity: Practices to Transform Complex Challenges launched in Spring, 2016. Our next course will be announced soon.
Meridian's events are formatted as seminars, experiential workshops, and professional programs and are taught by Meridian faculty and guest presenters.
Certain programs are approved for Continuing Education Credits (CE Credits) for California's MFT, LPCC, LCSW, and psychologist licenses. Like the curriculum in our degree programs, the public programs draw on: spiritual traditions, somatic practices, creative arts, mythology, indigenous wisdom, literary and poetic imagination, deep ecology, mystical philosophy, cultural history, and social critique.
Meridian University is an approved provider to offer continuing education for MFT's and LCSW'S by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (Provider #PCE 1391), an approved provider to offer continuing education for RN's and LVN's by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider #14996), and approved by the California Psychological Association Office of Professional Development (#MER020) to sponsor continuing professional education for psychologists in California.
